Welcome to
BhaliHi Balinese
A cat of distinction, Siamese in type, but one who has more finesse
Tridis Cattery
The home of the most regal of cats the Shaded Silver and Chinchilla. Persians
My husband and I live on the outskirts of one of New Zealand’s prettiest cities Christchurch. My interest in cats has been a constant in my life since my first cat Patchy a white shorthair domestic. Tridis was first registered with the New Zealand Cat Fancy in the late 1970’s
In the beginning Tridis was breeding colour points and the last kitten kept Tridis Bijoux a blue point died at the age of 21 years having outlived her mother by 5 years.
While my favourite was and is still the Shaded Silver and Chinchilla Persians, Warren likes the Siamese type cat in preference so we purchased a Siamese chocolate spotted Oriental girl and breed with her but once he was given as a present a Siamese who carried the longhair gene so our direction changed somewhat.
When we put his delightful girl an Australian import, Jesuis Toyia Mi Suk (aka Suki) a Siamese lilac point carrying the longhair gene to a Seal point Balinese Trilby Tao they duly produced our first Balinese and he knew that was the breed for him.
The breeding of the Persian had been under my prefix Tridis but we decided this delightful breed deserved its own prefix, hence the birth of BhaliHi in joint ownership.
